Bachelor of Arts (BA) Major in Biochemistry - NEW Curriculum 2023
Requirements include the Loyola Core Curriculum including the writing-intensive and language requirement, fifteen chemistry/biochemistry courses totaling 37 credit hours, four physics courses totaling 8 credit hours, two mathematics courses totaling 6 credit hours, seven biology courses totaling 15 credit hours. Chemistry 300 (Undergraduate Research) is strongly recommended. Statistics 203 is strongly recommended. Credit hours earned in Chemistry 300 or Chemistry 380 or Chemistry 399 do not count as elective hours satisfying the BA degree requirement. CHEM 300 and 380 are required for Departmental Honors.

All biochemistry majors are assigned a chemistry faculty advisor.
