Children's Learning in Museums

Our work at the Chicago Childrens' Museum, The Field Museum, and the Shedd Aquarium focuses on how to promote children's early learning about engineering and science. With support from the National Science Foundation, this work examines how parent-child conversational interactions during hands-on activities impacts children's learning in informal educational environments.
