Carrie Seleman

Carrie is a 3L at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, pursuing certificates in ChildLaw and Advocacy. Carrie spent the summer interning at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, assisting pro se litigants with obtaining Emergency Orders of Protection, and has previously interned at the Juvenile Expungement Help Desk and at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian. In addition to working as the CHRC graduate scholar, Carrie is the Editor-in-Chief of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal and the President of the Jewish Law Student Association. Outside of law school, Carrie is a board member of Jewish Women International’s (JWI) Chicago Young Women’s Leadership Network, which builds on JWI’s financial literacy expertise and commitment to preventing domestic violence by hosting empowering programs, including economic security and healthy relationship offerings. Carrie plans to commit her career to advocating for and advancing the rights of children.
