Children's Environmental Health and Human Rights

In this lunch seminar held at Loyola's Maywood campus, Dr. Susan Buchanan, Family Physician, Director of the Great Lakes Center for Children's Environmental Health, and Clinical Associate Professor at the UIC School of Public Health, discusses environmental toxins and child health. Particularly in the aftermath of the Flint water crisis, framing children's environmental health through a human rights lens has become essential. Dr. Buchanan's expertise and clinical experience allow her to highlight the clinical and human rights implications of exposure to environmental toxins.
