Faculty

We ask that all faculty and staff RSVP for each ceremony they plan to attend. This ensures that adequate seating is provided onstage and/or on the main floor.

Faculty wishing to participate in Commencement exercises must wear academic apparel. Faculty members who do not own their own academic apparel may purchase or rent it through online registration. The Office of the Provost is pleased to cover the cost of the rented regalia for members of Loyola faculty. Faculty who rent academic apparel are asked to pick it up on the 2nd floor of the Damen Student Center one hour prior to the ceremony they are registered for.

Faculty are asked to report to the 2nd floor of the Damen Student Center 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony for processional line-up. For more specific instructions, see your dean’s office.

 

For those attending ONE ceremony:

We kindly request that you pick-up your academic apparel from the Sister Jean Multi-Purpose Room at the Damen Student Center 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Apparel will be available prior to each ceremony. Please return your apparel following the ceremony.

 

For those attending MULTIPLE ceremonies:

We kindly request that you pick-up your academic apparel from the Sister Jean Multi-Purpose Room at the Damen Student Center 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Apparel will be available prior to the FIRST ceremony you registered to attend. Please return your apparel following the LAST ceremony you registered to attend.

Faculty are asked to report to the 2nd floor of the Damen Student Center 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony for processional line-up. For more specific instructions, see you dean’s office. Faculty who will be hooding doctoral candidates at any ceremony should RSVP prior to the ceremony. Because faculty members will be sitting in a place of honor, wearing academic apparel is required. If you cannot attend the ceremony, please work with the student to select an appropriate representative in your place.
