The College of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Environmental Sustainability, Quinlan School of Business, and the Stritch School of Medicine require tickets for admission to their ceremonies. All ceremonies are held in the Gentile Arena on Lake Shore Campus, 1032 W. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60660.

Parking on campus is extremely limited. Due to general city traffic please expect lengthy delays when arriving and departing campus.

Parking passes for the main garage are required only for those individuals attending either a College of Arts & Sciences and IES ceremony or the Quinlan School of Business ceremony. This pass allows one car into the main garage for the duration of the ceremony. Students can pick up these passes from their dean’s office.

Parking in the main structure for all other ceremonies is free and does not require a parking pass.

Loyola’s Campus Safety works closely with the Chicago Police Department to manage traffic during Commencement weekend. Please adhere to all instructions given by these officers as they strive to ensure the safety of all our graduates and their families.

Additional option: Guests are welcome to visit the parking garage located at The Morgan, but rates apply in this facility.

Please reference the Lake Shore Campus Map for these locations.

Accessible seating is available for guests with disabilities and up to one (1) companion. This seating area is designated for individuals using wheelchairs, persons with limited mobility, and guests with visual or hearing impairments. Commencement ceremonies take place inside an arena with stadium seating, which is reached via a long concourse. As a result, the walk from the parking structure to guest seating in the arena is lengthy. Please plan accordingly.

Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are not provided at the Commencement ceremonies and must be brought by the guests. Wheelchairs are allowed inside all Commencement ceremonies and are highly recommended for guests who have trouble walking distances.

Golf carts: There will be golf carts shuttling people to the ceremonies from the main parking structure and other campus locations.

Special seating needs: If you or a guest cannot climb more than 10 steps, there will be special reserved seats for you.

Hearing impairment: If you or a guest require a sign-language interpreter, please let your graduate know so they can indicate that when they register to participate in Commencement. If this is determined after your graduate has registered, please have them e-mail their dean’s office.

If you have additional questions regarding special accommodations, please contact Special Events at commencement@luc.edu before Friday, April 20, 2018. In your message, please clearly indicate which ceremony you are attending and what your needs are.

Guests will not be allowed to approach the stage during the ceremony in order to take photos and/or videos. We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to ensure the safety of all graduates and guests.

Photos: Grad Images will take photos of each student during the ceremony that will be available for purchase. A free photo proof and mail form will be mailed to graduates a few weeks after the ceremony. Graduates may also view their photo proofs online.
