Dean’s note

Dear member of the Class of 2021,

You made it! Most hearty congratulations to you on your well-earned graduation! You are in a chosen class for a special epoch in history. Your SOC family is so happy for you, so proud of you, and wishes you a bright and splendid future.

As Barack Obama said to graduates recently: "Be alive to one another's struggles. Stand up for one another's rights. Leave behind all the old ways of thinking that divide us: sexism, racial prejudice, status, greed. Set the world on a different path."

Bravo,

Hong Cheng, PhD
