Move Out 2016

The Spring 2016 LSC Move Out Schedule

Dear Neighbor,

Each year, Loyola University Chicago effectively moves out 4100 students who live in multiple residence halls on Loyola’s campuses. Due to construction and limited parking availability at the Lake Shore Campus, we take additional measures to ensure students have staging room to effectively load vehicles by restricting parking on key blocks. Students typically move out after their last final exam.

PARKING RESTRICTION DATES AND TIMES:

Tuesday, May 3-Sunday, May 8 | 8:00 am – 5:00 PM
Monday, May 9 | 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • During Sacred Heart parent drop-off/pick up, move-in will be halted (2:30-4:00 PM)
  • A Campus Safety officer will be posted on Rosemont at Kenmore to facilitate traffic flow.

PARKING RESTRICTION KEY BLOCKS

Loyola Avenue from Sheridan to the Lake (Southside only 1000-1199)

Northshore from Sheridan to Alley (May 4-May 9, Southside only 1200-1225)

Winthrop (Sheridan to Rosemont 6300-6400) both sides

Winthrop Rosemont to Granville (Westside only 6200-6300)

Kenmore from Rosemont to Granville (Eastside only 6200-6299)

Summer Conferences:
Be aware that some of Loyola’s residence halls become housing for university-hosted conferences during summer months. The following halls will be in use:
Bellarmine (Northshore) de Nobili (Kenmore), Mertz (Loyola Ave), Regis (Winthrop) San Francisco Kenmore), Santa Clara (Loyola Ave), and Simpson (Winthrop).

Students:
Do you need service hours by the end of the semester?  Or, need a study break?  Sign-up to volunteer for Think Green & Give, our campus-wide charitable donation drive where we collect students’ gently used clothing and unopened, non perishable food and toiletries as students move out of the residence halls for the summer.  Collected items will be donated to America’s Disabled and other local charities to help those in need.  Click here for details.

Thank you very much for your patience during this hectic time.
