RogersEdge Retail Update 2017

RogersEdge Retail to Anticipate in 2017: I Dream of Falafel, Target & More!

The RogersEdge Business Improvement District has seen a few developments in retail growth this summer. From a new specialty falafel eatery to a highly anticipated Target, to mixed housing units, this seems like only the beginning. Check out the updates below:

I Dream of Falafel

Now nestled north to the CTA Loyola Red Line stop, Rogers Park welcomed I Dream of Falafel at the 6558 N Sheridan Rd location, replacing Pita Pit.  The chain has other locations in the Lakeview, Downtown, and University Village neighborhoods of Chicago. Customers can customize their own wraps, pitas and plates with a wide variety of sauces, vegetables and more.  The eatery will open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The RogersEdge district will see a 30,000 square foot Target being built with mixed housing apartments at the 6400 block of Sheridan Road. The specialty Target will sell items that cater to the needs of the surrounding community, like grocery items, household items, clothing and more. Above the Target, at least 65 units in the apartment complex will be leased to CHA tenants while the remaining units will be leased at market value to the public. Construction is expected to begin late 2017.
