Video: Student Experience Webinar

January 13, 2021

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Thank you to those attended our Spring 2021 Student Experience webinar this past Sunday. Nearly 800 of you joined in to learn more about residence life, new student programs, career services, and additional engagement opportunities for students this spring.

If you were unable to join, a full recording is now available on the Return to Campus webinar page. We encourage you to view the recording if you were not able to attend the live session so you are up to date on student engagement opportunities ahead of the spring semester.

You can also view specific sections of the webinar by clicking the bolded links below:

Student Engagement: Student Activities and Greek Affairs (SAGA) is teaming up with campus partners across the University for our first-ever Spring Welcome Week, which will include more than 40 different programs to help new students get acclimated to campus, make new friends, and access resources to ensure a successful spring semester. Learn more about this and other programs available to all students this spring by following SAGA on Instagram and logging onto LUCommunity.

New Student Programs: Many of our formal programs will be online this year, but we are working on ways to connect new students with one another safely in person. For brand-new students and continuing first-year students, Orientation and Welcome Week will include small-group affinity discussions for students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and transfer students, as well as other opportunities to help students get to know one another. UNIV 101, 102, and 201 courses and First-Year Packs can also help students stay connected. Learn more at LUC.edu/nsp, and be sure to follow Loyola's First-Year Experience on Instagram.

Career Services: One-on-one advising, business career services, pre-health advising, and more are still available virtually. Appointments can be scheduled via Handshake, and virtual drop-in hours are also available throughout the week. Visit LUC.edu/career to learn more.

Athletics: While attending games is currently suspended, Ramblers can still stay connected by following the Loyola Ramblers on TwitterInstagram, and Facebook. Students can also follow our virtual student section, The Pack LUC, on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. To receive Loyola Ramblers updates in your inbox, visit www.ramblerstudenttickets.com to sign up for the Athletics newsletter, and don't forget to participate in Welcome Back Night this Sunday, January 17!

We realize that many of you asked questions about residence life and on-campus surveillance testing during the webinar. For additional information on residence life, please watch the dedicated Spring 2021 Residence Life webinar if you have not already. For an overview of on-campus surveillance testing, visit our On-Campus Testing page and view our Return to Campus Checklist.

Additionally, we encourage you to continue to visit our COVID-19 website for the latest developments and most current information on Loyola’s response and plans for the spring. You may email any questions to COVID-19support@LUC.edu.
