Student Mental Health and Wellness Resources
January 22, 2021
As we begin the Spring 2021 semester, we want to remind you of the many mental health and wellness resources available to you, whether you are living on campus this spring or learning remotely.
- Toolkit for Staying Well and Connected During COVID-19: On this page, you will find fun apps and free resources to help you stay connected and entertained. There is also important information for different populations who are affected by this crisis, and information about nutrition while sheltering at home.
- Telehealth Counseling: If you are interested in scheduling a telehealth counseling appointment with the Wellness Center, this page provides information on eligibility and how to access services.
- Group Counseling: All Spring 2021 Wellness Center groups will be held over Zoom. Some groups are open to all Loyola students, regardless of whether you reside in or outside the state of Illinois. Other groups are only open to students who currently reside in the state of Illinois. All workshops are open to out-of-state students.
- Mental Health Resources for Black Students: The Wellness Center has compiled mental health resources for Black students. Resources include websites, articles, social media accounts to follow, and assistance locating a therapist.
This list of resources can also be found on the Return to Campus website.
We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic can have a negative impact on students’ mental health, especially for those who are currently living on campus and completing the mandatory two-week quarantine. If you are experiencing an urgent, non-life threatening mental health crisis, please contact the Wellness Center at 773-508-2530 and hit Option 3 to leave a message. A mental provider will call you back within 30 minutes. You can also visit our Emergency/Crisis Care page to learn more.

On behalf of the entire Wellness Center, we wish you a wonderful, safe spring semester and are here to support you in any way we can.
