Extension on Withdrawal Deadline, Spring 2021
February 16, 2021
As the pandemic continues to present challenges to our students, Loyola University Chicago is extending the deadline for withdrawing from classes with a W to Wednesday, April 14, 2021, and the grade WF will be eliminated this semester only. Following April 14, students will not have the option to withdraw and will earn a grade based on their completed work.
The extension applies to all programs except graduate business programs, the School of Law, the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and the Stritch School of Medicine. These programs have their own withdrawal deadlines and policies; please check with your program.
With this extension, we are enabling you to make the best academic decisions based on having as much information as possible about your performance in each class.
We hope that this extension will help alleviate some of your academic stress. Please reach out to your academic advisor with any questions.
Together in Loyola,
Norberto M. Grzywacz, PhD
