Reminder: Withdrawal Deadline and Midterm Grades
March 30, 2021
As a reminder, there are several important deadlines approaching along with the end of the semester.
Withdrawal deadline: As announced previously, Loyola University Chicago extended the deadline for withdrawing from classes with a W to Wednesday, April 14, and the grade WF was eliminated this semester only. Following April 14, students will not have the option to withdraw. For students who do not withdraw, final grades will be calculated based on work completed as well as any work not completed in the final weeks of the term. The extension applies to all programs except graduate business programs, Law, SCPS, and Stritch. These programs have their own withdrawal deadlines and policies.
SmartEvals: Related to the withdrawal deadline extension, the SmartEvals for courses that end on May 1 will be available from April 16 to 30.
Academic grade alert: Midterm grade rosters will remain open in LOCUS until Wednesday, April 7 at 5 p.m. to enable faculty to participate in the academic grade alert initiative. I strongly encourage you to support your students by entering midterm grades.
Together in Loyola,
Norberto M. Grzywacz, PhD
Provost and Chief Academic Officer
