Vaccines for Students: April 17-20
April 16, 2021
Dear Students,
We are writing to inform you of the availability of COVID-19 vaccines, specifically for college students, from Saturday, April 17 to Tuesday, April 20, through the Illinois Department of Public Health’s College Vaccination Days. Mass vaccination sites will be open in the greater Chicagoland area and throughout the state of Illinois.
As we prepare to be fully in-person this fall, we strongly encourage all students to get vaccinated to help protect your health and the health of our Loyola University Chicago community.
To get a vaccine as early as tomorrow, Saturday, April 17:
- Register for an appointment at any of the 19 locations throughout the state.
- If you have questions about how to make an appointment at other mass vaccination sites or other locations, visit coronavirus.illinois.gov or call the State’s Vaccine Appointment Call Center at 1-833-621-1284, which is open from 6 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. daily.
- All mass vaccination locations will administer either Moderna or Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine. Students can make appointments for their second dose when they receive their first dose.
For updated information about Loyola’s Return to Campus plan or other University-related COVID-19 questions, visit our coronavirus website or email COVID-19support@LUC.edu. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, please visit our vaccine information page.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to register and receive a vaccine over the next four days. Please continue to wear a mask and practice physical distancing to keep yourself and others safe.
