COVID-19 Vaccines Available at Lake Shore Campus May 11-13
May 3, 2021
Loyola University Chicago is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Empower Health Services to provide vaccines at the Lake Shore Campus on Tuesday, May 11 through Thursday, May 13. Vaccinations will be available from 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m. each day.
Register for an appointment and learn more here. A printed copy of your consent form will be required upon arrival. To limit congestion, please only come at your designated appointment time.
Throughout the last several months, our priority always has been the health, safety, and well-being of our entire community. As people for and with others, we also take the health of our surrounding communities seriously.
As announced in a recent email update, after reviewing guidance from federal and city health departments as well as the University’s COVID-19 Health Care Advisory Working Group, we determined that the most effective, efficient, and safest way to return to campus is to require all students to be vaccinated before returning for the fall 2021 semester. Exemptions for medical contraindications or religious reasons consistent with our current policy will be considered.
Please understand that if you are not fully vaccinated by the start of the 2021-2022 academic year (or your move-in date), students will be unable to live in residence halls, attend in-person classes, or participate in on-campus events. As a reminder, full vaccination occurs two weeks after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two weeks after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit our vaccine information page. If you have already secured your vaccination, please upload your vaccination card via the Loyola mobile app. Follow these step-by-step instructions.
Thank you for doing your part to keep yourself and our communities healthy. We are looking forward—as we know you are—to returning to campus with our entire Loyola community this fall.
Yours in Loyola,
Thomas M. Kelly
