Update on Summer Sessions I & II

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Loyola University Chicago continues to take steps to protect the safety and health of our community and the wider world. Even with these steps, we remain committed to our mission of maintaining academic excellence, continuity, and support for our students.

To give everyone the opportunity to plan proactively, Loyola is pleased to confirm that Summer Sessions 1 and 2 will continue as scheduled in 2020, and that we will offer courses online. Regardless of the form of curriculum delivery, Loyola is committed to academic excellence and rigor. This is our pledge to all.

Loyola is highly regarded for the quality of its existing online programs. These summer courses, many offered online for the first time, extend our commitment to this level of quality and student success. In addition, the courses build on two decades of robust online academic education. Our Summer Sessions provide opportunities for continuing students to deepen their knowledge and skills and to progress and excel in their academic programs. For many new, entering students, Summer Sessions offer a chance to build skills and begin earning credits.

Thank you for your hard work, flexibility, and willingness to do what is necessary to protect all of us and continue to advance Loyola's greater-good mission. If you have any questions or concerns, please email COVID-19support@LUC.edu.

For questions on course selections and academic programs, students should contact their academic advisors.

Please continue to stay safe and well. As with you, we look forward to being back on campus and in our classrooms together as soon as possible.
