As a high-ranking small business incubator, 1871 works to foster professional relationships between its members by providing educational, networking, and business related opportunities.  The Loyola mentorship team, consisting of faculty from Quinlan School of Business and the School of Law, has successfully completed two consecutive structured mentorship programs with 1871 start-up companies held in the Loyola suite at 1871. The mentees met with Quinlan and Law faculty for advice in marketing and legal matters consistently over a ten week period.

Loyola's Office of Corporate Engagement and the Quinlan School of Business hosted an evening celebration for the Loyola mentors and the five startup companies mentored during Spring semester 2016, providing an opportunity for everyone to learn about their experiences.
