On January 12 and 14, 2010, the CPELL team provided a presentation to parents about encouraging bilingualism and literacy in the home. Dr. Elizabeth Vera presented to a room full of parents eager to learn how to support and facilitate their children's education. At the end of the presentation, parents were encouraged to take home culturally relevant books, provided by the CPELL team, to share with their children.
