CPELL 1

On April 21, 2012, Lindsay Viellieu, one of CPELL's graduate assistants, led a research presentation entitled "Exploring School Involvement in Parents of English Language Learners"‌ at Loyola's School of Education Research Symposium.

During the weekend of December 6-9, 2011, the CPELL team led a research presentation entitled "Exploring School Involvement in Parents of English Language Learners" at the Illinois Research Center's 35th Annual Statewide Conference for Teachers Serving Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Students in Chicago, Illinois.

During the weekend of November 17-20, 2011, Dr. Marla Israel, Laura Knight-Lynn, and Nancy Goldberger led a research presentation entitled "Multiculturally Competent Instructional Leaders: A Unique University-School Partnership focused on Principal Preparation" at the University Council for Educational Administration's (UCEA) 25th Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

On April 25, 2010, Judith Rodriguez and Dora Guzman, CPELL's LUROP scholars, culminated their year-long work with CPELL by presenting their research posters.  Judith presented on the needs of parents of ELL students who attend school in the Fairview district.  Dora presented on improving advocacy and support for parents of ELL students in the North Shore 112 school district.
