Advising

Information About the Academic Advising Process.

Undergraduate Advising

Please use LOCUS to find out who your College and Department advisers are. Computing majors should see a primary CS Department adviser listed as well as the Undergraduate Program Director (UPD), who is available for backup, any unusual issues, and students who do not yet have a CS Department adviser. Please mention if you need to have an advisor assigned, and it is generally helpful for your Loyola ID number to be included in any correspondence.

Graduate Advising

The Graduate Program Director (GPD), Dr. Peter Dordal for Information Technology and Dr. Eric Chan-Tin for other graduate programs, does Graduate advising for initial courses for entering students. Before their first semester, all students should get advice this way. Before the next semester registration starts, all new students should find a new permanent faculty adviser shown in Locus.
