CSME Fee for Service

 Loyola CSME supports several districts in the Chicago metropolitan area on a fee-for-service basis. Supports include professional development workshop series, instructional coaching, and school-based collaboration and leadership. Program content is designed in consultation with district/school leaders, based on the specific needs to be addressed, is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards and/or the Common Core State Standards, and reflects best practices rooted in the current literature. A list of clients is below:  

 

Science supports are flexible and can include such topics as:

  • Storylines
  • Discourse
  • Agency and equity
  • Formative assessment
  • School-based collaboration and leadership
  • Curriculum
  • Connections between the practices of math and science

Math supports include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Curriculum development and planning
  • School-based leadership
  • Discourse-rich environments
  • Formative assessment
  • Implementing Standards for Mathematical Practices (SMPs)
  • Instructional materials selection, adoption, and implementation
  • Instructional routines
  • Math/science connections
  • Professional learning communities
  • Strategic planning
