Jennifer is a doctoral student in the sociology department at Loyola University Chicago. Her research interests include gender, urban poverty and inequality, and public policy. She completed her Master of Arts degree in 2012 at Loyola. Her Master’s Thesis, based on in-depth interviews with 39 respondents, was entitled: “Family in Context: (Re)Entry Narratives of Formerly Incarcerated Individuals.” She was a Cook County Government 2012 Summer Fellow and a prior research intern at the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. Jennifer is very interested in conducting community-engaged research and has been involved in several program evaluations pertaining to criminal justice issues.
