Vinchenzo Vassalotti

Vinchenzo (he/him) is a Ph.D. student in the Applied Social Psychology program here at Loyola. He graduated in May 2022 from Florida State University with a bachelors in Psychology. His research interests include marginalized identity focuses such as BIPOC communities and Queer communities and the intersection of in-group/out-group influences with self-identity along with an emphasis on public policy and local initiatives. He has completed previous research regarding the “Decarceration Initiative” with the Institute of Justice Research and Development at FSU. Then, he went on to work on a research study focused on body identities and labeling within the Queer male community in his senior year. In his free time he loves to explore Chicago, read by the lake or stay up-to-date with the latest films.
