Loyola Dance Day: A look inside university dance

Calling all high school students interested in pursuing dance at a university level:

Loyola University Chicago Dance Day is open to all high school prospective students looking to learn more about Loyola’s Dance program and about dance after high school in general.

This year's Loyola Dance Day will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Click here to register!

Formal events will begin early afternoon and end around 6 pm. Participants should meet at the Mundelein Center for the Arts, room 409 at the top of the day. Participants will be given 2 complimentary tickets to the 2017 Annual Dance Concert “Voces Gratia” and are invited to stay to see Saturday night’s show at 7:30 pm.

If you are unable to attend the performance on Saturday night, you can also use these tickets to see any one of the performances November 16-19. Click here for more information.

Schedule for the day:

2:00p — Doors open, Participants gather for the beginning of Loyola Dance Day

2:30p — Day begins, tour of the campus and dance facilities

3:35p — 10 minute break

3:45p — Presentation about the program by a Dance major

4:10p — Break/Transition to Newhart Family Theatre

4:20p — Q&A panel with current students

5:00p — Watch a ballet warm-up class prior to Saturday night’s performance

6:00p — Break until "Voces Gratia"

7:30p — Start of performance
