About
Lisa Armstrong (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary designer, artist, and educator. Her research focuses primarily on the study of empathic design, time-based media, and tensions between artificial and emotional intelligence. As a designer, she mainly works with clients in the non-profit, arts, and cultural sectors. Her work has been exhibited at Art on theMart, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and Terrain Biennial.
Lisa holds an M.F.A. in Graphic Design with concentration in Motion Graphics from California Institute of the Arts and a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from DePaul University. She also received certificates in Design and Time and Poster Design from the Basel School of Design in Switzerland and performs as part of the electronic music collectives, Chandeliers and Drasi.
