About
Layne is a designer/creative/educator exploring feminist principles, community engagement, and more recently creative coding. Influenced by her printmaking background, Layne’s practice spans analog and digital mediums, draws from history and the current moment equally, and is often highly collaborative.
Before coming to Chicago, she worked as a museum educator and art handler. She was an active member of AIGA Gainesville, serving as Communications Director.
Layne had the opportunity to study letterpress at the Typographic Summer Program with Dafi Kuhne, as well as participate in the summer workshops at HGK Basel School of Design. Her work has been shown at numerous shows in her home state and TYPEFORCE 12 in Chicago.
