Health and Wellness
These policies were developed with the explicit purpose of adhering to scientific guidelines that aim to the best of our ability, to maintain the health and wellbeing of all who work in or engage with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI). The guidelines will be reviewed monthly and revised as necessary. Spring 2023 CDI office and resource room hours are listed below. Please note, hours are subject to change without prior notice.

Anyone wishing to engage in CDI programs, utilize the physical spaces, or engage with our staff must agree to the following policies and procedures.
THESE POLICIES APPLY TO ALL INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS. CDI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO LIMIT ACCESS TO THE SPACE FOR ANYONE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH CDI OR UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES.
CDI Office, Resource Room, & Common Areas
1. Any individual wishing to enter the CDI space must be in compliance with LUC COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement upon entry. Exceptions will be made for non-LUC affiliated visitors who are wearing a mask.
2. Students must ALWAYS wear a mask or face covering over the nose and mouth except when actively eating or drinking in all common areas including the resource room. Mask wearing is REQUIRED regardless of vaccination status. Failure to comply with the mask mandate may result in access restriction.
3. Resource room access will be limited to 15 people at a time. Students will be able to access the space in 2-hour increments on a first-come, first-serve basis. All individuals seeking to congregate in the resource room must have their ID scanned at the front desk before entry and ALWAYS maintain mask wearing over the nose and mouth unless actively eating and drinking. CDI will enact progressive accountability measures to try to ensure the health and wellbeing of those in our space. Accountability measures for non-compliance include but are not limited to:
a. Compassionate reminder
b. Verbal warning
c. Request to leave the space
d. Report to the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards (OSCCR) and/or appropriate accountability office.
4. CDI professional staff have identified mask wearing policies for their individual offices. Policies are posted outside of the respective offices. Individuals seeking meetings with CDI staff must respect and adhere to the staff members’ policies.
CDI Events and Programs
Access to all CDI events will be by registration only through LUCommunity. All attendees will be REQUIRED to wear masks covering their nose and mouth and show their compliance with COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement.
1. Everyone must register via LUCommunity.
2. Attendees are required to ALWAYS wear a mask or face covering over the nose and mouth at all CDI programs and events except when actively eating or drinking. Mask wearing is REQUIRED for everyone regardless of vaccination status. Failure to comply with the mask mandate may result in access restrictions.

CDI Staff Meeting Policies
To conduct meetings with CDI staff, the following guidelines are to be adhered to in addition to CDI’s Health and Community Wellness Policy and Loyola University Chicago’s COVID Plan that are developed and enforced with the explicit purpose of trying to maintain the health wellbeing of all who work in or engage with CDI to the best of our ability.
