The People's Institute Retreat

The People’s Institute Retreat (TPI) is an experience designed to explore and reflect upon the interconnection between leadership and social justice, while empowering students to partake in individual identity work through understanding privilege and the responsibility to create social change.

TPI aims to empower students to explore and reflect upon the interconnection between leadership and social justice. In the spirit of Jesuit education, TPI is an exciting leadership opportunity for students at Loyola University Chicago. This program is designed to raise awareness, examine privilege and responsibility, engage in self-exploration regarding multiple identities, and learn skills to create positive social change.

The students who are selected to participate in this FREE experience will have demonstrated self-motivation and a willingness to learn and share about their lived experiences, while engaging in reflection and dialogue with a diverse cross section of our campus. Because the sponsoring departments cover all costs for participants, and there is a limit to how many students can participate, there is an application process.
