Great Lakes Asian American Student Services (GLAASS) is a regional network of staff and faculty working in the area of Asian American and Multicultural Student Affairs from colleges & universities located throughout the Great Lakes region. These include institutions situated in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, and Minnesota. The staff has convened annually each summer for the past few years to share knowledge, resources, and strengthen community among colleagues who identify as part of the Asian American and Pacific Islander and/or are invested in the success of AAPI students. Themes are selected in advance of the annual meeting and all attendees are invited to discuss various themes that influence student success as well as the advancement of our respective department/unit objectives.
Loyola University Chicago hosted this year's meeting on Friday, June 16 at the Water Tower Campus in downtown Chicago. Cost to attend was free and the event included a complementary breakfast & lunch.
