Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is committed to enhancing feelings of belonging across our campuses. However, we cannot do so alone.

We believe in the power of our Loyola community to rally around a common purpose, ideology, or interest and from that, create a multitude of spaces that draws our colleagues in and connects them to a greater purpose.

To activate this vision, our office is thrilled to launch Loyola University Chicago’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

We invite all Loyola faculty and staff to lead the way by elevating what is important to you and your colleagues while creating a sustainable community to connect with others around diverse ideas, talents, and interests.

Similar to Loyola’s many student organizations, ERGs are voluntary, self-led employee groups formed around a common purpose, ideology, or interest. As we build Loyola’s network of Employee Resource Groups, see an example of these groups at the University of Pittsburgh.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) proudly promote inclusion and a sense of belonging at Loyola University Chicago. While some may be affinity based, ERGs are open to all Loyola employees who support the mission and vision of the ERG.
