Siobhan Cafferty, Ed.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Administration & Supervision program.  Dr. Cafferty comes to Loyola with a variety of experiences as an educator and school administrator.  As a teacher and school counselor, she worked closely with teachers, parents, and school administration to ensure student success in the Catholic, public and nonpublic schools in Chicago.  She has also served as a school building administrator in the Archdiocese of Chicago, Youth Connection Charter Schools and in the Chicago Public Schools. Her experience as a consultant with the National College for School Leadership in London, England through the London Challenge Program allowed her to support and coach school administrators and lead teachers in London’s most challenging and vulnerable schools. Most recently, Dr. Cafferty served as the Principal of both Saint Elizabeth Elementary School and Holy Angels Elementary School in Chicago’s Bronzeville community.

( We need) 'leadership that is tough enough to demand a great deal from everyone, and leadership that is tender enough to encourage the heart.'
