Loyola School of ED Talks: Series 3

Draft, for now

In Fall 2019, the Loyola School of Education (SOE) hosted the third installment of School of ED Talks. These TED-inspired talks feature SOE faculty presenting provocative ideas worth sharing.

The third installment features Talks from Dr. Amy Nelson Christensen (School of Psychology), Dr. Jorge Peña (Administration & Supervision/Greeley Center for Catholic Education), and Dr. Seungho Moon (Teaching & Learning). Follow this link to watch videos from these presenters.

These presenters spoke to a live audience comprised of current and prospective students, as well as alumni and community members. The Talks were recorded and are included at this link. The night was a fantastic opportunity to engage in conversation about critical ideas that are important in the field and in our daily lives. This Spring the SOE Student Development Committee will host the first School of ED Talks: Scholar edition at the annual Weekend of Excellence (WOE) event. The Scholar edition talks will be presented by two recent WOE recipients. The night will also feature a celebration of new Excellence recipients, and a reception for all attendees. This year's WOE celebration will be held on April 16. Invitations will be sent to all students in March 2020. Watch for the email invitation to register to attend the event and information regarding nomination/application forms for the WOE awards in Teaching, Research, and Service excellence. Each award recipient receives a $1,000 award and a certificate of recognition.
