George and Bernice Cooke Scholarship for Women

  • A scholarship for women returning to higher education in pursuit of a bachelors' degree

Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois

  • This scholarship is awarded to talented high school seniors, as well as first and second-year college students who have the promise and drive to be excellent teachers in schools-of-need. LUC-Noyce Scholars

  • This National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program provides tuition and programmatic support to recruit and prepare STEM majors and professionals to become Grade 9-12 teachers. Award recipients are required to complete two years of teaching in a Chicago or other high-need school for each year of support. The program seeks to increase the number of teachers with strong STEM content knowledge who teach in high-need school districts.

Beatrice C. Heimerdinger (MEd '64) Scholarship‌ 

  • This scholarship was created by Ms. Heimerdinger's estate to alleviate some of the tuition expenses for undergraduates pursuing math education. This is a one-time award of $4,000 for the successful candidate during his/her final year.

Anna Lowe Memorial Scholarship

  • The  School Education announces a scholarship in memory of Dr. Anna Lowe, a long-time faculty member in teacher preparation.   The biennial scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to an education student of junior status.  Applications are only accepted in the spring of every even year.

Mooney Scholarship 

  • This is an endowed merit scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman to the School of Education. It is a four-year scholarship totaling $40,000 distributed at $10,000 per academic year.

Alice Nihill Scholarship

  • The School of Education awards the Alice Nihill Scholarship from an endowment established by Ms. Nihill. Through this scholarship the School of Education demonstrates its mission regarding the importance of student teaching and the need for students to make a full time commitment to the experience. As such, this scholarship awards $1800 to assist a student during his or her student teaching semester.

Ruth Mary Whelan Scholarship

  • For undergraduates pursuing teacher education: $3,500 one time award
