Official Transcripts

Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree and the appropriate teaching credentials from the state in which you are working.  Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable; faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts; we have them on record. 

Teaching License or Certificate

Applicants must have two years of teaching experience. You must submit the appropriate teaching credentials from the state in which you are working.  

Two Letters of Recommendation
Please submit two letters of recommendation. One letter must come from a principal or supervisor.

If you supply your recommender’s email address as part of your completed online application form, then your recommendation letters may be submitted online. Or, your recommenders may choose to mail them to this address:

A Personal Statement
Please write a 1-3 page personal statement. Describe the following:

- your professional goals as they relate to curriculum and instruction in your classroom and in your school
- Life and/or teaching experiences that have influenced your view of social justice
