EdS in School Psychology (MEd/EdS)


The MEd/EdS dual-degree program in School Psychology prepares students to become an integral part of educating children and supporting parents and staff in schools as school psychologists. The program of study is a nationally approved program aligned with the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) domains and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) School Psychology Standards. Graduates of the EdS program will also have a working knowledge of the NASP training standards and will be eligible to become Nationally Certified School Psychologists (NCSPs). 

All students are admitted to the combined MEd/EdS program. An MEd degree in Educational Psychology is earned after the first year of study, leading to entrance to the EdS portion of the program. 

The School Psychology Program Distinguished Alumnus/a Award is awarded for outstanding contributions to the profession and the school. It is presented annually at the School of Education’s Fall Alumni Reception.
