Amy Acosta

Amy Acosta is a graduate student in the School Psychology program at Loyola University Chicago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in Counseling with a focus on Student Affairs and Higher Education from DePaul University. Amy has experience in community organizing, advocating for equitable resources in historically marginalized Chicago communities, and facilitating research projects aimed at improving social-emotional and literacy skills for English Learners. Her passion for supporting under-served communities and normalizing mental health conversations in Latine populations drives her work with the Puentes Fellows Program. Amy aspires to serve as a licensed school psychologist, collaborating with stakeholders to provide equitable and meaningful support.
