White Fragility Reading Group

In the wake of the important national conversation on systemic racism that this summer brought to the forefront, the CEL believes that it is even more important to think about how these issues effect our work. 

Join us for a summer reading group of Robin DiAngelo's White Fragility: Why It's So Hard For White People to Talk About Racism. This group will focus on how white fragility acts as an impediment to having productive conversations about structural racism in and out of the classroom. These groups will meet via Zoom and there are four different session "tracks." Mondays @ 4pm - 6/29, 7/13, 7/20, and 7/27

Tuesdays @ 2pm - 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/28.-

Wednesdays @ 10am 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/29
