Max Halm joined the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Development Center in November 2016 as the Administrative Coordinator.

Max received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science for Illinois State University in May 2016 after transferring from Illinois Valley Community College.  His passions include politics and government and advocating for LGBTQ rights.  During his undergraduate career, he was involved with ISU’s Office of Annual Giving, the Student Government Association, International Club, the Honors Program, and multiple honors societies, among other student organizations.

Formerly heavily involved in the local political field in his hometown, Max moved to Chicago to serve as the Director of Coalition Development on the Kirk for Senate campaign, a role that afforded him the opportunity to better understand the concerns and backgrounds of individuals representing diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.  He also served as the LGBTQ Allies for Kirk co-chair.  He is currently involved with Equality Illinois, and is considering opportunities to continue his education.
