Sustainability and Climate Plan - Lakeshore Campus
The university is engaged in an energy audit of the Lakeshore Campus. Our goal over the coming months is to identify energy conservation measures and policies that can be adopted to make energy conservation the university's shared commitment. We are committed to meeting our climate action plan goal of reducing energy by 10% by 2025, and helping to make a more just, humane, and sustainable world.

Many of Loyola's buildings already employ sustainable technologies. There have been significant retrofits to heating and cooling infrastructure and energy efficiency upgrades throughout Loyola.

Loyola University Chicago - Quinlan Life Science Building has reduced its Weather Normalized Site Energy Use by 15% from our 2014 baseline year through 2015. Our building has committed to 20% energy efficiency improvement by 2019.

Facilities UpdateAs ComEd works toward resolving the power outage in the Corboy Law Center this evening, the University is expecting that all classes and events will resume tomorrow morning. The Lewis Library will also reopen, and faculty and staff will once again be able to access their offices.
Facilities UpdateA power outage occurred yesterday in the Corboy Law Center on the Water Tower Campus and continues to affect the building today as ComEd works to remedy the issue. All classes and events in that building will be canceled until further notice, and classes will made up at another time.
Campus ImprovementsThis Summer a number of construction and renovation projects will be taking place on the Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Science campuses. Facilities will utilize Summer break to work on various preventative maintenance and capital improvements throughout the university.
