Meditation & Movement Wellness Series

How do we find solid ground and live true to ourselves when we find our beings in inner stress and turmoil; when we find we are at odds with ourselves?

Through the Meditation & Movement (M&M) Series, FCIP offers ways to investigate these questions by offering space to engage in practices of grounding and reflective meditation and physical theatre exercises. The spiritual and mental wellness of our educators are not only paramount to their teaching and research success, but also to their personal health and values. We invite the LUC community to join us in these spaces of reflection, grounding, joy, and play as a means of learning some embodied strategies on how we might care for and nurture the entirety of our own persons, of our own spirits, of our own bodies, of our own wholeness, so that we might best nurture that of those we seek to serve.

In this series we will explore various forms of grounding and reflective meditation practices, as well as engage in restorative, playful, and exciting physical theatre exercises. All engagements are introductory, so you do not need to have prior experience in either meditation practice or physical theatre to join us!

We know that meditation and movement aren’t for everyone; but they can be for someone! Come join, reflect, and engage in restorative play with us in the M&M series: see info on our Summer Series below!
