DEI Pedagogy (DEIP) Circles
DEIP Circles
The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Pedagogy (DEIP) Circles are an informal effort to cultivate anti-racist thought, anti-oppressive action, and equitable pedagogy by providing a private space for Loyola educators (faculty, staff, instructors) to come together, discuss issues they may encounter in their instructional and pedagogical spaces, and skillshare strategies and tactics to promote equity, navigate difficult situations, and ensure wellbeing in their pedagogical spaces.
The DEIP Circles will function as monthly laboratory spaces for Loyola educators to discuss and practice new strategies and approaches to anti-oppressive pedagogy in a horizontal, non-hierarchal structure. While each session will have a session host, these circles are designed to be group-led and the content will be driven by the needs of the attendees each session.
The Summer '23 DEIP Circles will be hosted monthly over Zoom
