For ten years, Niamh McGuigan has donated her talents as one of Loyola’s amazing librarians. Her Digital Humanities Master’s Degree—which is one of her two master’s—was completed right here at Loyola. Since graduating from the Digital Humanities master’s program, McGuigan has enjoyed working with the Center for Textual Studies and Digital Humanities, which she describes as having “a supportive group of faculty, students, and librarians.” Additionally, McGuigan has been the Head of Reference Services since 2012. Through this, she provides leadership for library research and references at the Lakeshore Campus and coordinates the Libraries’ curricular and co-curricular instruction efforts. McGuigan has also had the opportunity to lead several library orientation sessions for the FCIP Online Teaching course, which she holds as a valuable experience. Niamh continues to help faculty and students incorporate library resources into their lives, as well as continuing to serve as an excellent role model to the Loyola community as a whole.
