Instructional Strategies for Large Online Classes
OOL & FCIP have collaborated to develop and offer a targeted workshop on recommended instructional approaches and best practices for managing and teaching large online classes (over 30 students). The workshop covered ways to engage students both synchronously (using ZOOM) and asynchronously (using Sakai). Topics include using polling, breakout rooms, groups, peer assessment, automated grading options, and discussion strategies. All sessions are open to all interested faculty.
