Dr. DeFrancesco’s research produced a novel method to quantify markers of ethanol consumption in blood using gas chromatography mass spectrometry. This method has implications for use in diagnosing acute and chronic alcohol abuse.

Dr. DeFrancesco presented this work at PEth-Net Conference 2022, in Basel, Switzerland, hosted by Society of PEth Researchers.
