Mr. Thomas C. Wendt, BA ’98
Thomas C. Wendt (BA ’98) is a published legal educator passionate about helping others. He began his legal career 20 years ago as a volunteer paralegal at the Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL). After working in private practice for several years, he joined CDEL full time, serving first as a staff attorney and, since 2007, as its legal director. Wendt is active with the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA), and he is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Wendt is a contributing author to Wolter Kluwer’s The Elder Law Portfolio Series. His first textbook was published in 2017. He also teaches paralegal studies at the City Colleges of Chicago. Wendt earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Loyola University Chicago. He received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he served as the notes and comments editor for the Journal of International & Comparative Law.
