September 12, 2018, at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel — Founders’ Dinner is Loyola’s signature fundraising event for student scholarships. Our focus this year is on strengthening scholarship aid, so that a Loyola education remains accessible to every deserving student, especially first-generation undergraduates.
2018 Keynote speaker

Dr. Jill Biden

Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, is a mother and grandmother, a lifelong educator, and a proud military mom. As Second Lady, Dr. Biden worked to bring attention to the sacrifices made by military families, to highlight the importance of community colleges to America’s future, and to raise awareness around areas of particular importance to women, including breast cancer prevention, all while continuing to teach as a full-time English professor at a community college in Northern Virginia.

With the February 2017 launch of the Biden Foundation, Dr. Biden and her husband have continued their commitment to strengthening the middle class, protecting women and children against violence, and supporting community colleges and military families.

After Dr. Biden and former Vice President Joe Biden lost their son Beau to brain cancer in 2015, they helped push for a national commitment to ending cancer as we know it. Today, they continue the mission that started as the White House Cancer Moonshot through the Biden Cancer Initiative to inject a sense of urgency into cancer research and care and to deliver better outcomes for patients.

Scholarship Support

Scholarship students say thank you

A scholarship can make the difference between someone gaining a quality Jesuit education at Loyola or not having access to meet their educational goals and pursue the career of their choice. In short, a scholarship can help students realize their dreams. In this brief video, you will hear from Loyola students directly about the importance of scholarships and their deep gratitude to scholarship supporters.
