Chelsey is a Chicago native who left the city to complete her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri. After completing her MA in Communication and her PhD in English, she returned to the Chicago area for a faculty position before making the transition into student services. She hopes to bring her experience as a faculty member to serving students as they learn to navigate the complexities of higher education. She is passionate about the role education plays for both individuals and communities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, discovering new movies and TV shows, making art, and running or doing yoga.
