Advising Notes
Important Notes for Classical Civilization majors from Advising:
- Don’t forget to check the AP/IB guide to ensure you know if you have any incoming credit that will count towards your Core requirements.
- With this major, it is very manageable to add a second major or a minor in the future, and study abroad at almost any time.
- Students have the opportunity to build their own program of study by choosing any combination of electives, which include courses in Literature and Language; History, Culture, and Society; and Art and Archaeology.
- Students that plan to double major in Ancient Greek or Latin may "double dip" a maximum of one 200-level LATN or GREK courses toward their Classical Studies major.
