How have you benefited from the Gannon Scholars program?

I have gained a built-in community that supports me in every facet of my life. I am so fortunate to have met such beautiful and brilliant people that are willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with me! Gannon has also helped me think critically about the issues affecting our world while providing space for the other Gannons and I to discuss how they impact our own communities.

Why is the mission of the Gannon Scholars important to you?

The Gannon Scholar mission is important to me because it is proof that community learning can be the most valuable. I feel that, to truly promote social justice, we must share our skills and wisdom communally in order to grow. The Gannon Scholar mission continues to promote equity into all spaces of our lives and actively gives its participants the tools in order to achieve that.
