Michael Khodarkovsky, PhD - Professor of History

Michael Khodarkovsky was born and grew up in Kyiv, Ukraine, when it was a part of the USSR. In 1979, he immigrated to the US and arrived in Chicago. His first place of residence was a building at the corner of Kenmore and Sheridan Road, currently the university dorm. Some may believe he was predestined to teach at Loyola. Before coming to Loyola in 1991, he received his PhD from the University of Chicago. He is the author of numerous publications on Russian history and often contributes commentaries to the media.
